Standard Chartered Bank India has appointed Gaurav Maheshwari as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment will be effective from 22 June 2020 onwards. As a part of his new appointment, Gaurav will be taking the charge from Subhradeep Mohanty who has been recently elevated as the CFO for the Africa & Middle East (AME) region.
The bank in its communiqué informed that Gaurav will be reporting to Jean Fernandes, Regional CFO, ASEAN and South Asia and Zarin Daruwala, India CEO.

Under his stewardship, the CFO function was characterized by clarity, innovative ideas, and strategic thinking.”

Gaurav is a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience in the financial and corporate arena. This is his second inning at private lender. He had joined the lender in 2001 as a Manager, and then gradually elevated as the Financial Controller in 2018. From September 2018 to June 2020, he was Head of Finance at Altico Capital India limited.
