The app will provide a fast and convenient payment option to the customers for in-store purchases and earn points through the loyalty program with the help of the mobile devices, reported The Economic Times.
“The move makes Tata Starbucks the first major retailer in India to offer customers a mobile payment option linked to a loyalty program and further expands Starbucks robust global digital ecosystem,” said Tata Starbucks Private Limited.

“The app will help the company meet the customer’s needs while serving them seamlessly on their already highly-successful My Starbucks Rewards program that benefits loyal customers,” added Ghosh.
The app provides payment options like Scan to Pay, customised for fast and convenient transactions.
Customers can scan the barcode linked to a registered Starbucks Card on the mobile app or shake their mobile device with the ‘Shake to Pay’ feature to activate the pay screen.
Options of payment through the virtual Starbucks Card can also be performed using the mobile device. An option of automatic reloads is also available. The mobile app offers card registration feature, enables balance transfer from one card to another and allows transaction history to be viewed.
