Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has named Sanjeev Nautiyal as its Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from 1st July 2024. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted approval for a tenure of three years.
Prior to assuming the role of MD & CEO, Nautiyal will serve as the President of the bank. With a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and certification as an Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers, Nautiyal brings over three decades of comprehensive experience in various domains including retail, SME, financial inclusion, operations, HR, international banking, and treasury.
Previously, Nautiyal held key positions such as Deputy Managing Director of Financial Inclusion & Micro Markets at SBI, and MD & CEO of SBI Life Insurance. Currently, he serves as an independent director at Life Insurance Corporation and provides advisory services to several organizations.
Banavar Anantharamaiah Prabhakar, Chairman of Ujjivan SFB, expressed delight at Nautiyal’s appointment, highlighting his extensive experience and strategic acumen in both domestic and international markets. Praising Nautiyal’s leadership qualities, Prabhakar emphasized his ability to innovate, collaborate, and foster teamwork, aligning with Ujjivan’s core values.
