NSDL Payments Bank, a division of National Securities Depository Ltd, has recently announced Vasundhra Paruelekar’s appointment as their new Head of Human Resources. Vasundhra steps into this role with a rich background of over 15 years in HR, covering various sectors including Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Infrastructure, Metals, Mining, Technology, and Retail. Her appointment is effective immediately, and she will be managing the HR operations from NSDL’s Mumbai office.
In her new position, Vasundhra’s expertise will be pivotal in numerous HR domains such as managing the entire employee lifecycle, implementing effective rewards and recognition programs, overseeing compensation, fostering employee engagement, handling talent acquisition and management, shaping work culture, steering workforce expansion, managing performance, integrating HR technology, and streamlining HR processes and systems. Furthermore, her role will include focusing on attrition management, career coaching, training and development, and overall organizational development.
Before joining NSDL Payments Bank, Vasundhra held the role of Zonal HR Partner at IndusInd Bank, where she led the HR function for Branch Banking and liabilities across Maharashtra & Goa, which included 250 branches. Her responsibilities encompassed organizational growth and expansion, talent acquisition and management, grievance resolution, HR operations, and compliance. Vasundhra’s rich career history also includes senior positions at HDFC Life, Essar Oil Limited, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, and Torrent Pharmaceuticals, along with early career experiences at Naukri.com and Centurion Bank of Punjab.
Vasundhra shared her excitement about her new role in a LinkedIn post, stating, “Excited to share that I’ve joined NSDL Payments Bank as the Head of Human Resources!”
Additionally, in May 2022, Pramit Sen was appointed as the Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer for NSDL, bringing over two decades of HR experience to the group, including senior roles at Axis Bank and HDFC Life.
