Vipin Anand took charge as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Prior to this position, Anand was appointed as the in charge of LIC’s Western Zone, headquartered at Mumbai.
During his service of over 35 years with the insurance giant, Anand had been responsible for handling several assignments across various capacities and departments, such as information technology, marketing, personnel and industrial relations, corporate communications, and international operations across diverse locations in India.
He played a vital role in setting up LIC’s operations in Singapore and Bangladesh.
He also headed LIC’s east-central zone headquartered at Patna. Prior to his new appointment, he was in charge of LIC’s western zone, consisting of 23 divisions, encircling Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Union Territories of Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
