Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX has appointed Nishant Singh as Head of Legal and Compliance.
Nishant is a law graduate from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad in 2005. He has over 16 years of experience in banking and finance, payments and settlement, regulatory, corporate, and entity governance. He has, besides other matters, extensive experience in KYC, AML, and privacy matters.
Prior to joining WazirX, Nishant has worked with organizations like Flowboard Technologies, American Express, Jyoti Sagar & Associates, GE Capital, and ICICI Bank. Nishant thinks that like UPI was the highlight of the last decade, blockchain technology and crypto will be the most talked-about area for this decade. He thinks that this space will offer immense learning and growth to the lawyers besides the business personnel.
