Android giant Xiaomi has introduced its first Unified Payments Interface (UPI) based Mi Pay Digital payment solution in India.
The firm has received its final approval from National Payments Corporation of India (India). The smartphone brand has also joined hands with PayU payment gateway and private lender for launching Mi Pay.
The company has begun accepting beta testers for initiating its UPI-based services in the country that can be accessed via other MIUI application such as contacts, SMS and many more.
The newly launched serviced will offer support to several major credit and debit cards. With the help of this service, users will be able to make transactions using UPI, recharge mobile, pay DTH, gas, water or electricity bills. This service will also help the users to receive and accept money from other UPI users.

Mi Pay will be able to sync and delink bank account. Further, it will also modify UPI PIN directly for the user’s account. The consumer will also be able to create personal QR codes with the help of this service and receive payments and scan QR codes.
The firm has now integrated the Mi Pay and its MIUI interface in a manner that will assist the users in making payments easily through their phones.
Users who are willing to use the services can do so by following a few simple steps. Firstly, the user will have to be on MIUI Global Beta ROM.
