AU Small Finance Bank appoints Dayakaran Sridhar as Chief of digital banking and strategy

AU Small Finance BankFor enhancing its digital presence, AU Small Finance Bank today appointed Dayakaran Sridhar as the Chief of digital banking and strategy.

This appointment is alignment with the bank’s vision of becoming a holistic digital institution in line with Central Government’s motto of achieving Financial Inclusion with the adaptation of technology. The bank promotes the use of digital payments and helps the implementation of centre’s flagship scheme “Digital India”.

It plans to strengthen its presence across Tier II and III towns by unveiling new services like UPI and USSD allowing large population to transact freely.  With the appointment of Sridhar, the bank also gears up to introduce many new products and services such as Digital Lending, Digital Payments, Digital Liabilities and Digital Wealth Management for engaging the customers on the digital platforms.

Sridhar holds 21-years of experience in leadership roles. He led digital business in Axis Bank, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Kotak Securities and Citi Bank. Prior to joining AU Bank, he was appointed as the Senior Vice President at Axis Bank and headed Digital Acquisition and Customer Engagement across 25 products on multiple digital channels including mobile, ATM, internet banking and social media. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and holds MBA degree from K.J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research.
