Private Insurer Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has appointed Santanu Banerjee as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
As a part of his new appointment, Banerjee will be leading the Human Resource function of the company, and will be responsible “for strategic direction of people management, including talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, organisational effectiveness, and succession planning,” stated the insurer.

Prior to this appointment, Banjerjee was associated with Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance as Executive Vice President and CHRO, and also worked with ING Vysya Life Insurance, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance and Aditya Birla Health Insurance for more than two decades. Bajaj Allianz Life said “Santanu comes with over two decades of versatile experience in human resources and has a wealth of experience across the insurance sector. He brings to the table leadership in culture and organisational transformation through systems, processes and people interventions.”
Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance is a joint venture between Bajaj Finserv, which owns 74 percent of the insurer, and German financial services company named Allianz SE.
