New Delhi: Axis Max Life Insurance has partnered with GreyLabs AI to deploy its Voice AI Suite, enabling the insurer to analyse 100% of meaningful customer conversations and significantly enhance sales effectiveness. The AI-powered deployment has contributed to an approximately 15% improvement in sales conversions, while strengthening customer intelligence, agent performance, and product development.

The deployment marks a major step in Axis Max Life’s digital transformation journey. Instead of relying on selective call reviews, the insurer now uses AI to analyse more than 6 lakh customer conversations, covering over 1.4 crore minutes of call time across 700+ sales agents. The platform generates actionable insights that help improve customer engagement, optimise sales strategies, and refine product offerings.

One of the key insights from the implementation revealed that the first 90–120 seconds of a customer conversation are a stronger predictor of sales conversion than traditional demographic indicators. This allows sales teams to identify high-intent customers early and tailor conversations based on customer intent rather than profile alone.

Axis Max Life has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing digital life insurers over the past five years. The company’s online business has grown tenfold, with digital channels now contributing around 15% of its Annualised Premium Equivalent (APE). Today, one in every three new customers is acquired digitally, with the online business growing at nearly four times the industry average.

The AI platform has also enabled the insurer to personalise post-call customer engagement by generating contextual follow-up messages based on actual customer conversations. Additionally, product development teams are leveraging insights derived directly from customer interactions to design more relevant insurance solutions.
