HDFC Bank has decided to stop issuing slips after cash withdrawals at ATMs. The bank will alert the customer about withdrawals through SMSes, say media reports.
The SMSes will have detailed information on the withdrawn amount and the balance in account.

Currently, the bank is starting the initiative at a few ATMs and will roll out the same across its network by the end of June, the reports said.
Customers of other banks, who use HDFC Bank’s ATMs, will also not get the receipt as sending SMSes is mandatory for every bank.
