Canara HSBC Life Insurance introduces 13 NFTs with “Me For My City” campaign

Canara HSBC Life Insurance

Canara HSBC Life Insurance has announced the launch of 13 NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) in conjunction with Me For My City Season 5, one of the Company’s signature campaigns. The introduction of NFTs demonstrates the Company’s dedication to embracing innovation and rewarding society with newer technology that will enable them to study, think, and communicate in new ways.

The company has manufactured 13 unique NFTs, 12 of which will be awarded to the 12 participants who made it to the season 5 finals of the Me For My City campaign, which focuses on safeguarding and revitalising our country’s folk music.

Canara HSBC Life Insurance displayed its thanks to the participants for their musical talent and dedication during the major event hosted in Mumbai in the presence of Shankar Mahadevan and other musical maestros through one of the most original campaign ideas.

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a digital asset that signifies ownership or proof of authenticity of a one-of-a-kind item or piece of content, such as digital artwork, music, video, or a tweet. It is stored on a blockchain, which is a digital ledger used to verify and track ownership and transactions. Because of their ability to generate a digital certificate of authenticity for uniqueness, NFTs have grown in popularity. These digital tokens will exist in perpetuity as a unique asset belonging to these participants, which they can later exchange or keep as a souvenir.

Season 5 of Me For My City acknowledged the value of community participation and social projects that bring together people from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds. Legendary vocalist Shankar Mahadevan and a few other musical industry veterans such as Akriti Kakar, Bhoomi Trivedi, Lakhwinder Wadali, and Hamsika Iyer visited the occasion and stood hand in hand with emerging folk singers participating in the campaign.

Tarannum Hasib, Chief Distribution Officer, Canara HSBC Life Insurance on such launch says, “The launch of these NFTs is just one example of how Canara HSBC Life Insurance is setting the bar high for innovation and hyper customization, while having a pulse on the technological transformations of today. We are proud to be at the forefront of the insurance industry’s evolution and look forward to continuing to provide our customers with trailblazing and forward-thinking solutions.”
