Madhya Pradesh Govt to set up Cooperative Innovation Wing soon

060716n22With the objective to bring positive changes in socio-economic sector, the Madhya Pradesh Cooperative Department will set up Cooperative Innovation Wing within a week. Minister of State for Cooperatives, Gas Relief & Rehabilitation (Independent charge), Panchayats & Rural Development Vishwas Sarang has directed the Department recently.

The Minister has directed the officials to work unitedly for bringing banks in profit within a year with a clear message that no society should become Land Development Bank (LDB) now. “The action plan should be chalked out to bring cooperatives societies in profit. Special attention should be paid to banks so that they are not wound up.”

He said that these institutions are biggest strength of cooperatives sector. Large number of farmers and poor people are connected with them. In the era of innovations, the Department should pay special attention to it.

He also directed to constitute labour federation in cooperatives sector. Through it, regular employment will be given to construction labourers. He said that later this federation will also be linked to government level construction works.

He has directed Principal Secretary Cooperatives to formulate bylaws separately under Cooperatives Act for urban and rural areas. Due to it, works in cooperatives sector will be undertaken practically and as per local requirements.
