The government on February 7, 2023, announced the nomination of Shri K Satyanarayana Raju as Managing Director and CEO of Canara Bank. He succeeded Shri L V Prabhakar, who left office on December 31, 2022.
Since March 10, 2021, Shri. K Satyanarayana Raju has additionally served Canara Bank as Executive Director.
Shri. K Satyanarayana Raju is a graduate in Physics, Post Graduate in Business Administration (Banking and Finance) and CAIIB.
He joined the Vijaya Bank in 1988 and rose to the position of Chief General Manager at Bank of Baroda. During his 33-year banking career, he has led several branches, notably the Specialised Corporate Banking Branch, for 12 years. He oversaw Shimoga, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. He was also the Zonal Head of the Mumbai Zone, the bank’s largest zone. He has also served as the Director of Operations and Services at Head Office.
He has extensive experience in all areas of banking, including branch banking, corporate credit, retail credit, agricultural financing, credit monitoring, credit recovery, and compliance. His extensive experience and exposure also contributed to the digital revolution of banking goods and services.
