Kotak Mahindra Bank, in collaboration with Shroffs Foundation Trust (SFT), has launched Kushalta Ka Nirman, a Corporate Social Responsibility Project for skill development in Gujarat. SFT will implement the bank’s CSR project with the goal of improving livelihood and employment for youths from tribal, rural, and other marginalised populations in Gujarat and neighbouring areas.
KMBL hopes to alleviate a talent deficit in the construction industry through this CSR project. SFT will train children in construction equipment to become Backhoe and Forklift operators, allowing them to develop in their careers and create more job prospects.
Vinod Chauhan, Sr. Executive Vice President – Commercial Banking, Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, “It is our constant endeavour to be at the forefront of training and development of the workforce that not only offers additional skills to benefit the individual but also uplifts the overall infrastructure industry. With Shroffs Foundation Trust as our CSR associate, we think that our contribution to the workforce can result in the development of a sizable talent pool to support the sector in Gujarat.”
Over 100 people will be trained in Backhoe and Forklift Operator as part of the Kushalta Ka Nirman initiative. The complete training programme, which will be based on the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), will also feature AV tools, a simulator, classroom sessions, and actual operations to prepare workers for future infrastructure-related projects.
