Kotak Mahindra Bank unveils banking services on WhatsApp

kotak_mahindraPrivate lender Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced the launch of its banking services on a pilot basis on Facebook owned chat messenger WhatsApp.

Kotak is India’s first bank to unveil banking services on pilot basis on WhatsApp. This service will offer a wide range of banking options and query resolving services.

Customers, willing to avail the services can interact with Kotak on its verified WhatsApp number – +91 22 6600 6022.  The messenger channel will direct all the customers seeking information on services such as updating Permanent Account Number (PAN), mobile number, email id, Aadhaar number, activating/deactivating passbook, updating Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) declaration, cancelling National Automated Clearing House (NACH) mandate, etc. to the Kotak’s website.

After the verification, Kotak 811 customers will get their digital welcome kits from the bank’s verified WhatsApp number. The digital kit will contain information and benefits of the 811 account.

This WhatsApp initiative is driven by Kotak’s ABCD charter – AI enriched App, Biometric enabled Branch, Context enhanced Customer Experience and Data empowered Design. It is India’s digital-first organic growth strategy.
