How is Comviva helping the telecom sector in acquiring new subscribers ?

AdvertisementElets BFSI AI Summit & Awards, Mumbai

If you look at telecom, globally tele-density is so high that new customer acquisition is very low. Operators globally today are looking at how may I get more revenue than what I  already have. If you look at the emerging markets, the tariffs are no longer the differentiator factor. So if you can’t get more, you can’t compete on pricing, you focus on other things like network quality, brand, distribution of your products. The more focus in telecom has shifted to how do I make best of the existing customers that I have . Now there are two-three indicators which we look towards . One is Average Revenue per user. Second is Retention: How long does he stay with the operator.

How does ‘MobiLytixTM Suite’ helping the telecom sector ?

Earlier it was not an issue because getting subscribers was very easy. Telecom usage is almost like a commodity. Revenue earlier was led by acquisition. Now if the new acquisition is difficult the entire focus is how do I get more. This business of Comviva is how do I intelligently understand the behaviour of the consumer and offer products to each one from the portfolio that the operator already has. We call this ‘MobiLytixTM Suite’. There are different parts of MobiLytixTM Suite. One part focuses on how do I increase the loyalty of the customers. MobiLytixTM Suite through various parts looks at various kinds of data and create what we call as actionable insights. This is currently only for telecom. It is a sweet which is split into multiple parts. Each part is a software products combined into MobiLytixTM Suite in a bigger picture.
