Pine Labs and Stripe have launched a unified commerce solution that lets eligible retailers in Singapore run online and in-store payments on one platform, the two companies said on 4 November 2026. From November 2026, merchants can use Stripe for online payments and Pine Labs payment terminals for card payments in their stores, with a single view of every transaction.
The partnership pairs the India-headquartered merchant commerce platform with the global payments infrastructure company. It is the latest step in Pine Labs’ push beyond India, weeks after it began bringing UPI and Indian payment options to Sri Lankan merchants with WEBXPAY. The companies plan to extend the solution to other Southeast Asian markets in 2027.
What the Pine Labs and Stripe unified commerce solution offers
Stripe handles online payment acceptance, while Pine Labs’ fleet of in-store terminals takes card, QR code and contactless payments. On top of payment acceptance, merchants get Pine Labs’ commerce tools. According to the Pine Labs announcement, eligible merchants will be able to:
- Cut reconciliation work and operating overheads with one consolidated view of online and store sales.
- Offer multi-issuer instalment plans, pay-by-points and merchant-funded promotions at checkout.
- Use Pine Labs’ digital marketing tools for instant discounts and cross-border campaigns.
- Accept credit cards, QR codes and contactless payments across several Pine Labs terminal types.
“Retailers no longer think of e-commerce and physical stores as separate channels. They expect a connected view of payments, customer engagement and business performance across every touchpoint,” said B Amrish Rau, CEO, Pine Labs. “By combining Stripe’s online capabilities with our in-store commerce ecosystem, we are helping merchants simplify operations while creating more personalized and rewarding customer experiences.”
Why retailers want one platform for online and store payments
Many large retailers still run separate payment providers for their website, their stores, instalment financing and analytics. The companies say this fragmentation slows reporting, makes reconciliation harder and raises costs. A single stack gives merchants real-time visibility across channels and one relationship to manage.
For Pine Labs, which has built its business on point-of-sale terminals and value-added services such as EMI and loyalty, the tie-up adds a strong online partner in a market where shoppers move freely between apps and stores. It fits the company’s full-stack fintech strategy of selling issuing, credit and payment orchestration alongside acceptance, and follows earlier international bank tie-ups such as its partnership with Emirates NBD in the MENAT region.
What it means for Indian fintech
Unified, or omnichannel, commerce is also a battleground at home, where payment firms are racing to serve merchants both online and offline, as seen when Razorpay received RBI approval for an offline payment aggregator licence. Pine Labs exporting its in-store expertise to Singapore shows Indian fintechs competing on product depth in mature overseas markets, not only on UPI rails.
