Canara Bank announced that Rakesh Sharma has assumed charge as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
“Sharma’s main expertise lies in retail and wholesale banking, corporate credit, asset liability management, loan syndication, trade finance, industrial relations and HR issues,” the bank said in an official statement.
Before joining Canara Bank, he was MD and CEO of Lakshmi Vilas Bank since March 7, 2014.
