RBL Bank Strengthens Retail Banking Leadership with Key Appointments

RBL Bank has announced significant leadership changes aimed at strengthening its retail banking segment and driving future growth. The bank has appointed Kumar Ashish as President and Head of Retail Assets and Collections, while Himanshu Mishra has been named National Head of Branch Banking. These appointments reflect RBL Bank’s commitment to enhancing its retail banking capabilities and delivering superior customer experiences, a core focus as the bank continues its transformation journey in India’s competitive banking landscape.

Kumar Ashish brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry to his new role at RBL Bank. His expertise spans a wide array of domains, including mortgage loans, vehicle finance, personal and business loans, rural and agri finance, SME and trade finance, digital lending, and microfinance. Known for his innovative approach and operational efficiency, Ashish has a proven track record of launching new products and leading high-performance teams in previous roles at Aditya Birla Finance, Bandhan Bank, Airtel Money, and ICICI Bank. At RBL Bank, he will be responsible for expanding the retail assets portfolio and overseeing the retail secured collections division, with a focus on driving growth and innovation in retail lending and asset management.

Himanshu Mishra, with more than 27 years of experience in the financial services sector, is recognized for his entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive business growth while building customer-centric teams. In his new capacity as National Head of Branch Banking, Mishra will spearhead the transformation of RBL Bank’s branch network, positioning it as a key engine for sustainable growth. His leadership will be instrumental in integrating branch operations with the bank’s overall retail strategy, ensuring that branch banking becomes a core contributor to RBL Bank’s growth trajectory.
