SEBI Launches Three New IT Platforms to Transform Regulatory Landscape

SEBI

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has launched three new Information Technology platforms aimed at strengthening the regulatory framework, enhancing cybersecurity oversight, and improving ease of doing business in India’s capital markets. The announcement was made by SEBI Chairman on March 24, as part of the regulator’s broader push towards digital transformation.

According to an official statement, the newly introduced platforms are designed to streamline regulatory processes, improve operational efficiency, and bring greater transparency across the ecosystem. With increasing digitisation in financial markets, SEBI’s move reflects its intent to adopt advanced technological solutions to address emerging challenges and enhance supervisory capabilities.

The platforms are expected to simplify compliance requirements for market participants, reduce turnaround times, and enable more seamless interactions between stakeholders and the regulator. By automating key processes and leveraging data-driven insights, SEBI aims to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and ensure more effective enforcement of regulations.

A key focus of the initiative is cybersecurity. As financial systems become more interconnected and technology-driven, the risk of cyber threats has grown significantly. The newly launched IT platforms are expected to bolster the resilience of the regulatory infrastructure, ensuring better protection of sensitive data and safeguarding market integrity.
