Universal Sompo has launched intelligence tools ‘Universal i Assess’ and ‘Universal i Gen’ to expedite motor claims settlement. These innovative tools enable surveyors to analyse damages rapidly and produce claims estimates in real time, considerably expediting the claims process.
‘Universal i Assess’ combines neural network image processing, analytics, machine learning, and natural language processing to enable seamless real-time evaluations. Surveyors can simply use their phones to take pictures of car damage. The system then takes control, utilising the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
Neural networks evaluate photographs to detect car details such as the vehicle number, manufacturer, and model and pinpoint damaged areas. Advanced algorithms evaluate the severity of damage to each part and generate an auto-assessed claims estimate. This approach speeds up claim settlements and reduces the possibility of fraudulent claims. Integrated with the surveyor app, it efficiently processes motor-own damage claims via mobile phones, enhancing surveyors’ efficiency.

‘Universal i Gen’, another cutting-edge tool with AI & ML capabilities, offers policyholders a real-time update of claims through IVR calling and various other digital platforms like WhatsApp, a 360-degree view of the claim through various digital integration for streamlining the process aiming to transform the customer journey
