Xavier School of Management has finally concluded its Summer Internship Placement Process (SIP) for a batch strength of 362 of 2018-20. The institute succeeded in bagging Rs 1.65 lakh per month as the highest stipend offered.
The placement process completed in just two days,said the institute in its official communique.
The SIP process reported a participation of more than 95 companies, looking for candidates in roles across sectors such as consulting, finance, sales and marketing, operations, business development (BM), human resources (HR) and industrial relations (IR).
This year, several new brands have marked their participation in recruiters’ list.
Firms such as the Boston Consulting Group, AT Kearney, Accenture Strategy, EY, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC represented the Consulting domain for hirings.
Several brands namely P&G, Colgate Pamolive, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Nestle, RB Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, Coca Cola, Pepsi, ITC India and AB InBev made recruitments in the FMCG sector.
From the financial services sector brands such as Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Avendus Capital, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, Kotak Wealth, Maitreyi Capital Advisors, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank and Edelweiss participated
General management jobs were offered by Tata Administrative Services, Aditya Birla Group, RP Goenka, Mahindra and Bharti Airtel group.
Candidates also received job offers from General Electric, Shell, Samsung Electronics, Bharti Airtel and Star.
“This has been a good year for summer recruitments, especially across consulting and operations domains. Boston Consulting Group hired 13 candidates. Students secured placements in prestigious operations roles in P&G, RB and Johnson & Johnson,” said Prof. Uday Damodaran, Chairperson, Placements (2 yrs.
