Yes Bank names Mahesh Ramamoorthy as new CIO

Mahesh Ramamoorthy

Private lender YES Bank recently named Mahesh Ramamoorthy as its chief information officer.

As part of the new role, he will be leading technology and digital transformation, stated the bank in its official communication.

Ramamoorthy will ideate and lead the development pertaining to new-age technologies namely API, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business solutions, the disruptive factors for driving banks and their new products.

He holds more than 30 years of experience in banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) technology in segments concerning payments and banking technology, product design, business solution, and project management across Indian and MNC Banks and technology firms.

Earlier, he has associated FIS Inc, handling the payments department for Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa. He had been associated with Barclays Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Aviva Plc, DCB Bank, IDBI Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a specialization in electronics from the University of Mumbai and is a certified information systems manager.

Prashant Kumar, managing director, and chief executive officer at Yes Bank said, “We welcome Ramamoorthy to lead the information technology function of the bank. On this transformational journey, he will further strengthen the bank’s technology initiatives including the usage of new-age technologies.
