Axis Max Life Insurance Limited (formerly Max Life Insurance Company Limited) on 5 November 2026 launched a Digital Capability Centre in Noida to strengthen in-house technology, data and artificial intelligence capabilities. Designed as a future-ready tech and AI hub, the Centre will initially house about 120 technology professionals and support scalable platforms, faster product delivery and AI-led customer experiences.

The facility consolidates specialised capabilities across software engineering, enterprise architecture, data engineering, AI and generative AI (GenAI), automation, quality engineering, cloud, core platforms, technology operations and innovation under one integrated ecosystem, with room to expand as the insurer’s technology transformation deepens. It builds on earlier Axis Max Life’s partnership with GreyLabs AI and follows the company’s Q2 FY27 value of new business (VNB) update.

What the Noida Digital Capability Centre will do

A core aim is to deepen Axis Max Life’s ability to build, operate and scale critical technology platforms in-house rather than relying solely on external delivery. The company said stronger ownership of strategic capabilities should accelerate product release cycles, improve operational resilience, raise automation across software delivery and IT operations, and drive more data- and AI-led decision-making.

The Centre is also positioned as a talent hub for specialised engineering, data, cloud, AI and automation skills, creating deeper institutional expertise as the insurer advances towards responsible AI-led engineering aligned with applicable data protection and regulatory requirements.

CTO Mukul Jain on AI-led engineering

Mukul Jain, Chief Technology Officer, Axis Max Life, said the Centre is a strategic investment in the technology backbone of the company’s future growth. By bringing together specialised talent across engineering, data, AI, architecture and automation, the insurer aims to innovate faster, scale intelligently and own critical capabilities in-house. He said the hub will help deliver better customer experiences, strengthen operational resilience and build a more agile, future-ready enterprise.
