Scripbox Wealth Managers Private Limited, the Bengaluru-based wealthtech platform founded by Atul Shinghal and Sanjiv Singhal, won shareholder approval on 19 October 2026 to convert into Scripbox Wealth Managers Limited, clearing a key step toward a planned initial public offering, according to regulatory filings reported on 6 November 2026.
At an extraordinary general meeting, shareholders backed the name change and amendments to the company’s constitutional documents. Scripbox said it intends to list through a fresh issue of equity and/or an offer for sale by existing shareholders. Timing will be set with investment bankers and remains subject to regulatory approvals. The firm has not disclosed issue size or valuation. The move sits within India’s widening fintech IPO pipeline, where digital investment platforms are competing for a larger share of household savings.
What Scripbox shareholders approved
- Conversion from Scripbox Wealth Managers Private Limited to Scripbox Wealth Managers Limited.
- A share split of each ₹10 face-value equity share into five shares of ₹2 each.
- Appointment of Kishore Mukund Saletore and Anjali Sosale as independent directors.
Separately, a 2 November 2026 filing showed Scripbox raised ₹15 crore in non-convertible debentures from venture debt firm Stride Ventures. Earlier in the year the board had approved plans to raise up to ₹170 crore through a mix of equity-linked instruments and debt.
Scripbox IPO plans, scale and financials
Founded in 2012, Scripbox offers mutual fund investments, portfolio management, financial advice and products such as fixed deposits and international equities. The Accel-backed firm manages more than ₹20,000 crore in assets across distribution, portfolio management and advisory. Backers also include Omidyar Network and Nippon Life Insurance; equity funding to date is about $59 million.
In June 2026 Scripbox acquired the mutual fund distribution business of Delhi-based Bluechip Capital, which managed more than ₹1,000 crore in assets. For FY25 the company reported operating revenue of ₹107.2 crore, up 27% year on year, and a net profit of ₹12.7 crore.
Why it matters for India’s wealthtech and IPO market
Digital brokers and wealth platforms are moving from private capital to public markets. Online broker Groww listed in November 2025, while peers such as Razorpay, which secured SEBI nod for its IPO, and recently listed lenders such as Moneyview after its October IPO show how investor appetite for fintech listings is being tested in real time.
On the product side, AI-led and digital wealth managers continue to raise capital to chase the same savings pool. Platforms such as PowerUp Money’s AI wealth manager raise underline how crowded the advisory and distribution race has become. Mutual fund industry assets stood at ₹82.64 lakh crore at end-September 2026, according to the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi), giving listed and listing wealthtechs a large addressable market if they can convert AUM into durable earnings.
