Leading private lender Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Soumitra Acharya as its new Human Resource (HR) Head.
In his new appointment, Acharya would be leading the HR division of the bank’s investment banking division which comprises of Mahindra Capital Company, Kotak Institutional Equities, Kotak Investment Advisors and Kotak Infrastructure Debt Funds.
Prior to joining Kotak, he was associated with Standard Chartered for handling the HR Business Partner supporting Risk support Function for India. This role included supervising the entire employee lifecycle, enabling effective Talent and Performance Management, ensuring Talent Mobility and Succession Planning, formulating beneficial Workforce Design and Organisation Design.
An alumnus of Xavier School of Management- Jamshedpur, he had earlier worked with Mahindra & Mahindra, BHEL and Siemens India Limited.
He completed his Bachelor of Technology from National Power Training Institute.
