RBL Bank has begun collecting GST on behalf of the Government of India via direct connection with the GST portal. This complements the Direct Tax Collection offering, which was launched earlier this year following the bank’s appointment as an Agency Bank.
This service will allow RBL Bank clients to make seamless GST and direct tax payments through various digital platforms and RBL Bank outlets. The enabling is just another step toward providing a one-stop shop for its clients to achieve their statutory obligations. The RBL Bank interface provides a streamlined, user-friendly platform for GST payments, as well as rapid payment confirmation.
Brijesh Mehra, Head – Wholesale Banking, RBL Bank, said, “In an increasingly digital world where customers look to their bank for efficiency in meeting their statutory payments, RBL Bank continues to invest in building its Government and Transaction Banking franchise by offering intuitive, easy to use online banking solutions that simplify their lives. With the addition of GST payments as an offering, our customers can now use both the online and branch channels for seamless, hassle-free tax payments using their RBL Bank account.”
