A week after the new-generation mobile banking app of HDFC Bank failed to function in Android and iOS, it has restored its older version.
The bank recalled the new version from the app store and play store. While installing the new version the bank had delisted the older version due to which users were not able to download the older version of app when the new one failed.
The revamped version of the app that was launched last week failed due to server issues. The bank did not have any app for almost a week.
Those who already have the older version can continue to use it without having to refresh the app.
In its official communiqué, the bank has said that it needs more time to fix the latest buggy version of the app. The bank also has a MobileBanking Lite app on both App Store and Play Store, which offers limited access.
