Bharatsure Launches Insurance Solutions for Gig Workers, Students, and Digital Users at GFF 2024

Bharatsure

Bharatsure, a renowned insurtech business, unveiled four novel insurance products at the Global Fintech Festival in Mumbai. These solutions are tailored exclusively to gig workers, students, digital users, and businesses looking for sophisticated employee perks. This initiative is consistent with Bharatsure’s goal to “Insurance for All in Bharat,” which seeks to bridge the protection gap in underserved parts of Indian society.

Bharatsure has launched Gig Worker Insurance, providing health and personal injury coverage for as low as ₹69 per month. The gig economy is a key contributor to India’s GDP. This plan, which already insures 20,000 gig workers in the logistics, mobility, and staffing industries, provides critical financial stability by covering hospitalisation and accidental injury or death.

Anuj Parekh, Co-founder & CEO, Bharatsure, stated, “As the gig economy expands, it’s crucial to extend the same security enjoyed by traditional employees to gig workers. Our insurance plan ensures that this vital workforce is well-protected.”

Bharatsure offers Student Health Insurance for a little ₹1 per day to help students with their health. This plan covers a wide range of medical bills, including over 540 day-care treatments and any type of in-patient hospitalisation, as well as common vector-borne and water-borne diseases like malaria, dengue fever, jaundice, and cholera. This protects students financially at schools, colleges, universities, tuition centres, and edtech platforms.

Bharatsure’s Cyber Insurance program covers the growing hazards in the digital environment. This complete coverage covers financial damages from digital theft, online shopping fraud, cyberbullying, and identity theft, as well as legal and psychological help. It is intended for e-commerce companies, UPI platforms, credit card providers, and wealth technology firms.

In keeping with the IRDAI’s objective of “Insurance for All by 2047,” Bharatsure introduces Employee Benefits-as-a-Service. This industry-first solution provides a comprehensive platform for distributing and managing group insurance products, designed exclusively for intermediaries such as licensed brokers, banks, and B2B technology organisations. A white-labeled employer-employee interface, 24/7 claims support, and a dedicated product engine are among the features available.
