Some of our customers include DBS, Mashreq, India Post, Canara Bank, Andhra Bank, Karnataka Bank, Vijaya Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, and Equitas Small Finance Bank.

- Appzillon Digital Banking
Appzillon Digital Banking is a suite of pre-built omni-channel solutions that are designed to deliver consistent experiences to all customer touch points. The solutions cover three business lines self-service, assisted service, and internal operations and address retail banking, corporate banking, customer onboarding, branch banking, agency banking, management dashboards, relationship management, and operation workflows.
- Application Development Platform
Appzillon Development Platform is an award-winning low-code development platform. Built on open technologies, the platform facilitates rapid application development while ensuring future readiness at all times. The micro app-based architecture of the platform ensures reusability and agility in the application development process while other aspects such as automated development, automated testing, and template driven development ensure that digital transformation initiatives are realised quickly and cost-effectively. - i-exceed has recently powered Canara Bank’s fully digital banking branch CANDI. Tell us about this initiative and the motive behind its launch.
CANDI is Canara Bank’s first fully digital banking branch in Bengaluru and the first of its kind in India. Appzillon was used to build and deliver the customer touch points deployed at the branch. CANDI provides customers with a cutting edge and hassle-free digital banking experience. With just their Aadhaar card, an individual can open a new bank account in a few minutes with mobile and internet banking services activated almost instantaneously. The individual is authenticated using biometric authentication, iris scan, or an OTP. At the end of the onboarding process, the customer receives their bank card (Master, Visa, or Rupay) customised with an image of their choice.
The motive behind this initiative was – offer customers a truly digital branch experience. While in theory, there have been previous attempts at a digital branch, all of them involved some steps that required a customer to visit a branch or wait for a couple of days to get several banking services activated. At CANDI, one could say that the account opening process in instantaneous.
- Your brand has been associated with various Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). How are you powering the growth of this segment?
The Government of India is aggressively pushing the idea of financial inclusion and NBFCs in the country are focusing on rapid digital transformation to cater to a wider target audience. Appzillon is helping these institutions in the rapid development and deployment of digital assets. Appzillon based solutions help field agents to lend small amounts, onboard customers and initiate several other transactions with just a few clicks of their handheld device.
- Digital innovations are driving the banking sector of India towards a paradigm shift. What are the measures taken by your brand to boost this drive?
While technology is becoming all-pervasive across industries, the BFSI industry is undergoing a dramatic digital evolution owing to factors such as heightened customer expectations, changing preferences, need for risk mitigation, cost optimisation etc. Additionally, the government’s Digital India initiative and the push towards a cashless economy have resulted in financial institutions moving from legacy workflows to newer technologies based on mobile-first strategies, IoT, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchains, and so on.

The Government’s strong advocacy for financial inclusion and a cashless economy are fundamentally changing the way Indians bank. While these might not be a global first, the pace at which these changes are shaping up the sector is aggressively fast. Considering the sheer size of the democracy we are in, it would be right to say that the Indian banking sector is easily one of the most dynamic ones out there.
