E-commerce giant, Amazon.in has announced that it has unveiled 16 ‘GST Cafés’ across 11 cities. This initiative is taken to help sellers understand the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and therefore enable smooth transition through the entire process. The cafés are available for two weeks starting from June 26th, 2017.

These cafes are set up at various Amazon Service Provider and Amazon partner sites across the country to impart training and empower sellers to stay relevant for the upcoming rollout of GST.

As a part of the program, sellers will be able to visit the café and get training and guidance from trained resources and experts pertaining to their accounts and getting their queries resolved.

In addition to this, the ‘GST Cafés’ in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore will have an experienced Charted Accountant to enable the sellers in updating their GST Identification Number (GSTIN) on Seller Central and get GST related concerns resolved on the spot.

With just a few days to go for the GST rollout, an in-person assistance is of utmost importance to help sellers with last-minute issues and details. We thus came up with the idea of GST cafes across cities to educate sellers about the new tax and its implications,” said Gopal Pillai, Director & GM, Seller Services, Amazon India,

Amazon.in has been persistently creating awareness regarding its GST Cafés amongst its seller community through regular SMS alerts and e-mail communication.

Earlier this year, Amazon had launched the ‘A-Z GST Guide’ programme that imparted training to thousands of sellers on the marketplace till date to get ready for GST
