Riskcovry worked with B2B gig marketplace Taskmo to supply their blue-collar employees with per-day insurance facilities to make insurance distribution as smooth as digital payments. Riskcovry provides accidental insurance to the Taskmo workforce on a switch-on/off usage-based coverage basis, using digital infrastructure to incorporate insurance through APIs. When gig economy workers log into the app, insurance is automatically activated for them and remains active throughout their shift. When a worker logs off from their day’s job, the cover is automatically disabled.
Taskmo has been making strenuous efforts to link gig economy individuals with businesses that want labour for various purposes. Taskmo will give complimentary insurance to all of its employees as a value-added service, using Riskcovry’s platform, when they need it the most – while at work performing a variety of physical duties. For a sum insured of Rs. 2 lakhs, the insurance covers accidental death, outpatient care, hospitalisation, permanent total disability caused by accidents, and ambulance services.
