Airtel Payments Bank unveils ‘Airtel Safe Pay’

For protecting its customers from online frauds, Airtel Payments Bank on Wednesday unveiled ‘Airtel Safe Pay‘.

“With ‘Airtel Safe Pay’, Airtel customers making UPI or netbanking-based payments through Airtel Payments Bank, no longer have to worry about money leaving their accounts without their explicit consent,” said Airtel Payments Bank in its official communiqué.

According to the statement, the newly launched solutions aims at offering safe transactions at for the same leverages Airtel’s strength of network intelligence to ensure an additional layer of payment validation as compared to the industry norm of two-factor authentication.

“This offers the highest level of protection from potential frauds such as phishing, stolen credentials or passwords, and even phone cloning that catches customers unaware,” it said.

With the help of ‘Airtel Safe Pay’, Airtel Payments Bank customers can perform secure digital payments across millions of merchants, online retailers and utilities, and even send money, stated the communiqué.

The new solution for safer transactions is free to use and can be activated via Airtel Thanks app home screen or from the banking section.
