MobiKwik has appointed Saurabh Dwivedi as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This strategic leadership move underscores the company’s commitment to intensifying its technology roadmap and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) across its suite of offerings. Dwivedi, who joined MobiKwik in August 2023 as Senior Vice President of Engineering for Payments, will now oversee all engineering functions, including Payments, Financial Services, Core Platform, and Information Security.
Dwivedi brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at MakeMyTrip, American Express, and Satyam Computer Services. His expertise in scaling digital platforms and driving technological innovation positions him well to lead MobiKwik’s next phase of growth. Under his leadership, the company aims to leverage AI to enhance collections, improve customer service, and accelerate product development, further advancing its digital transformation agenda.
In a parallel move, MobiKwik has promoted Dhruv Wadhera to Senior Vice President of Offline Payments. Wadhera, who joined the company in June 2023 after a successful tenure at Zomato, has played a pivotal role in expanding MobiKwik’s reach among small merchants across India. His efforts have been instrumental in strengthening the company’s offline payments ecosystem, enabling more merchants to adopt digital payment solutions.
These leadership changes come at a crucial time as MobiKwik sharpens its competitive edge in the rapidly evolving digital payments landscape. With over 176 million users and 4.6 million merchant partners, MobiKwik continues to be a dominant force in the industry. According to a RedSeer report from November 2024, the company holds the top market share in digital wallet transactions, reflecting its strong position in the market.
