This new and improved technique will help the tax payers in generating Permanent Account Number (PAN) instantly, without any hassle.
The facility is absolutely free of cost and user will just have to log onto the income tax portal to generate the e-PAN. This facility is only available for resident individual tax payers, who are eligible to be registered as valid Aadhaar holders.
Hindu undivided family (HUF), firms, trusts and companies, and is open for a limited period on a first-come, first-served basis for valid Aadhaar holders.
Users don’t need to submit any documents to enroll themselves for e-PAN. The e-PAN will be automatically generated using the details in Aadhaar card.
So, it is important to make sure that the details mentioned in Aadhaar database is updated.
After successful updation of e-KYC on the basis of Aadhaar OTP, the process of e-PAN application will be initiated.
The user will then have to upload a scanned copy of your signature on a white paper with the details given on the income tax website. After filing the application, a 15-digit acknowledgement number will be generated and sent to the applicant’s mobile number/ email mentioned in the application form.
