Online insurance aggregator PolicyBazaar has named former venture capital investor Sarbvir Singh as its new Chief Executive Officer. Besides this, the co-founder Yashish Dahiya will be taking up the broader group CEO role at the Soft-Bank-backed company.
Singh, who was handling the managing partner position at technology-focused VC firm WaterBridge Ventures till recently, will now report to Dahiya.
The company also made major shuffles in the top brass. Sharat Dhall, who was earlier associated with the online travel operator Yatra, has been appointed as its new COO. Dhall would be replacing Dhruv Sarin, who now heads international expansion for PolicyBazaar.
Singh is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad. Previously he was working as the finance head of teleshopping and e-commerce portal HomeShop18. He was also associated with Capital18 as its Managing Director, an investment arm of Network18, for almost 9 years.
