Puneet Sharma resigns as Tata Capital CFO, likely to join Axis Bank: Sources

Puneet Sharma

Puneet Sharma, CFO, Tata Capital Limited & Tata Capital Financial Services Limited has put down his papers from his post after being associated with the firm for over a decade, taking the charge as finance chief since 2014.

Industry sources suggest that Sharma’s quit in a bid to explore other opportunities. He is most likely to join Axis Bank, filling the post in place of former CFO Jairam Sridharan who resigned last year to join Piramal Consumer Finance Business as its CEO.

Sharma had joined Tata Capital from Citibank N.A, where he was working as the Vice President. Prior to that, he has worked with The Boston Consulting Group and KPMG in India.

He is a finance expert and holds a degree from Indian School of Business in finance, leadership and change management. Besides, he is an honorary member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
