Razorpay POS, the offline payments arm of fintech giant Razorpay, has launched ‘Q-Zap’, an innovative suite of solutions designed to eliminate queues and expedite checkouts in retail stores. Aimed at reducing billing wait times by 40 per cent, Q-Zap promises to transform the in-store customer experience and significantly cut down annual operating costs for retailers by up to 20 per cent.

Q-Zap addresses a common pain point in retail: long checkout lines. By enabling payments beyond the traditional billing counter through self-checkout kiosks and handheld POS devices, Q-Zap allows customers to complete their transactions anywhere within the store. This not only reduces wait times but also enhances overall customer satisfaction.

Q-Zap integrates seamlessly with over 120 billing partners, significantly speeding up implementation from the industry standard of 4 weeks to just 4 days. The solution supports all major payment methods, including UPI, credit cards, and debit cards, across networks like Visa and Mastercard. By eliminating the need for stationary cash registers, staff can focus on providing better service, including answering customer queries and assisting with checkouts.
