Khan, a seasoned banking professional with over 25 years of experience at State Bank of India (SBI), brings a wealth of expertise in retail banking, digital transformation, operational excellence, and strategic leadership.
Khan began his distinguished career with SBI in 2000 as a Probationary Officer and has since held several key positions across the banking spectrum, including roles in retail banking, the Strategic Training Unit (STU), and Core Banking Solution (CBS) implementation and training. Most recently, he served as General Manager, Network-I, at SBI’s Local Head Office in Thiruvananthapuram, where he led major business and operational initiatives that contributed to the bank’s transformation and growth.
His academic and professional credentials further bolster his leadership profile. Khan holds a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (ISACA, USA), and has completed a PGDFA in Advanced Wealth Management (IIBF) as well as a risk management certification from RMAI. These qualifications, combined with his practical experience, equip him to navigate the complexities of the insurance industry and drive SBI General Insurance’s strategic objectives.
As Deputy CEO, Khan is expected to work closely with Managing Director & CEO Naveen Chandra Jha to drive customer-centric product innovation, operational efficiency, digital transformation, and profitable growth. A key focus will be on expanding SBI General Insurance’s footprint in underserved markets, aligning with the company’s mission to deliver value-driven insurance solutions to a diverse and growing customer base.
