Murali M Natrajan, the present MD and CEO, will step down from his position on April 28, 2024, and Praveen will take over the next day. Natrajan, who has been with the bank for over 15 years, told the bank of his decision to step down in June 2023. The bank then organised a selection committee to find his replacement. Before Natrajan’s term expired, the committee submitted the names of the recommended successors to the RBI, and Praveen has now been approved as the successor to this position.
