Subhash Khelkar has recently been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). This prestigious exchange has a significant history, having been established way back in 1875. In fact, it is not only the oldest stock exchange in Asia, but also the 10th oldest stock exchange in the world.
Mr. Khelkar is widely recognized for his expertise in the technology and services industries. With nearly three decades of experience, he has held various strategic and managerial positions, working in different parts of the world, including the United States, Europe, Japan, and New Zealand. Throughout his career, he has overseen many digital and technology-led transformations, making him a great fit for the CTO role at BSE.
Before joining BSE, Mr. Khelkar was the Chief Technology and Digital Officer at ICICI Securities. He began his career with Tata Consultancy Services and has since worked with Mastek, the Mahindra Group, and IIFL. He is an engineer from the prestigious Sardar Patel College of Engineering in Mumbai and a post-graduate from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (previously NCST) in Mumbai.
