Wells Fargo appoints Uday Odedra as the Managing Director (MD) of Wells Fargo in India and the Philippines, according to a statement released today by Wells Fargo & Company. David Owen, Head of Global Operations, will receive Uday’s report.
David Owen said, “I am pleased to welcome Uday to the Wells Fargo leadership team. Our India and Philippines teams are a critical part of the bank’s business and under Uday’s leadership, we will continue to strengthen our operations in the region.”
Uday comes to Wells Fargo from UBS AG with a wealth of experience in the global financial services industry, bringing with her expertise in data strategy, technology, and international business leadership. Uday, who has worked for UBS for more than 25 years, has held a number of executive positions, including chief executive officer (CEO) of India and chief information officer (CIO) for Asia.
Uday graduated from Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems.
The primary role of Wells Fargo India & Philippines is to extend the company’s corporate support, operations, and technology teams. It works on a variety of Wells Fargo needs, including middle and back-end banking process solutions, testing, foreign operations, application development and support, and other technical responsibilities.
