Up to 50% hike in service charges on HDFC debit cards, IMPS

hdfcHDFC Bank has increased service charges by as much as 43-50% on select products like debit cards, immediate payment service (IMPS).

The new tariff will comes into effect from 1 June.

According to the new fee structure, now the customers will have to pay Rs 750 for an HDFC Bank platinum debit card against the current annual fee of Rs 500. Customers using IMPS are now required to pay a fee of Rs. 5 for transfer of money up to ₹10,000 from 15 May, compared to ₹3.5 at present.

The new tariff will not be applicable to high-networth individuals (HNIs) and those which hold salary account with the bank.
