DBS Bank India names Rajat Verma as Managing Director and Head of institutional banking in India, on Monday.
Niraj Mittal, the current head of institutional banking, has recently taken on a new role as the country head of DBS Bank in Australia. According to the bank, Mittal will concentrate on expanding the DBS franchise in the region, including strengthening ties with South-East Asia and South Asia.
Verma was formerly at HSBC India, where he served as Managing Director and country head of commercial banking. According to the statement, Verma brings to DBS a depth of knowledge and significant industry understanding. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow, as well as a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering.
