Spice Money partners with NSDL Payments to Revamp Rural Banking in India

Spice Money

Spice Money (a subsidiary of DiGiSPICE Technologies), India’s leading rural fintech company that creates nanopreneurs for emerging India, announced a groundbreaking collaboration with NSDL Payments Bank to make a significant impact in rural India by allowing citizens to open zero balance accounts. Spice Money hopes to empower rural communities with greater financial inclusion by providing them with access to critical banking services and supporting economic growth in these areas. More people in rural India will be able to participate in formal banking institutions, unlocking the potential for increased financial stability and possibilities, thanks to the convenience of zero balance accounts.

Spice Money and NSDL Payments Bank have formed a strategic relationship that will pave the path for a brighter and more equitable future for rural India.

Spice Money will use its massive 12.7 lakh Adhikari network to expedite the onboarding process as part of this collaboration. Adhikaris will be equipped with NSDL Payments Bank’s instant kits, which will be available at their touchpoints where rural folks can open a zero balance savings account instantaneously. Customers will be able to receive individualized advice and guidance throughout the process through the local touch points, even in distant places with little banking infrastructure.

This localised approach will develop trust and familiarity, allowing more people to securely use formal banking channels. Customers will also receive an Instant Debit Card when they open their accounts, adding to the convenience for rural consumers. This service will allow them to rapidly access their funds and execute transactions, making day-to-day financial activities more efficient and allowing them to more easily engage in the broader economy.
