India’s largest public lender the State Bank of India (SBI) has announced recruitment for the post of Specialist Cadre Officers on a contract basis. Under this recruitment, the bank will be appointing the candidate for the post of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
The role will be to provide technology vision and IT ( Information Technology) architecture for the bank, creating and owning the long term IT strategy for the bank.
There is only one opening and the age limit is 55 years as on September 30, 2019.
The CTO will assist DMDs (Deputy Managing Directors) & CIOs (Chief Information Officer), to manage the core IT infrastructure of the bank, leading IT transformation projects and providing technical expertise to the top management of the bank.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification– BE/ BTech/ MCA (from a recognised University) or MSc/ MTech in CS/ IT
- Work experience– Candidates are required to have a minimum experience of 20 years in the IT field, preferably with software development background. They are required to have a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior executive level position, out of which minimum three years should be in the banking & financial sector.
Salary
The indicative Cost to Company (CTC) for the post is Rs 80 lakh to 100 Lakh (CTC is negotiable for a suitable candidate).
Selection Procedure
The selection will be based on shortlisting and interview. Mere fulfilling minimum qualification and experience will not vest any right in candidate for being called for interview. The shortlisting Committee constituted by the bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, candidates will be shortlisted and called for interview. The decision of the bank to call the candidates for the interview shall be final. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
